I followed the exact instructions for Homelink including the step for the rolling code and it will not program. I tried to program all three buttons as well. I tried with the engine off but ignition on and with the engine running.

I did the erasing of previous codes and the indicator flashes to confirm so it appears the electronics in the mirror is responding.

I recall on one of vehicles in the past, it would not program with the driver's door open, so I tried that.

Is there an incantation required? I tried expletives but that didn't work either.

Make sure your garage door doesn’t have rotating signals, or whatever it’s called. That’s the only type I haven’t been able to ‘save’ to a button

Great thanks!

After reading your post I remembered having this problem with my wife's 2010 Mercedes. The garage door manufacturer sent me a signal repeater device that takes the old signal from the vehicle and converts it to the new HomeLink rolling code. I still had the repeater, so I plugged it in and programmed it, and it worked!

I looked online and back in 2013, the HomeLink standard added rolling codes. But vehicle manufacture's took time to change the mirrors in vehicles. My 2015 obviously has the older generation mirror. Knowing Land Rover, the mirror is probably from the 1800's. :)

The repeater is a Homelink® repeater available on Amazon:

Liftmaster 855lm Chamberlain OEM Homelink Compatibility Bridge

Thanks again!!

Here's another thread on the same:

I just installed a new mirror in my 2012 LR4 but this is not a very cost effective solution and requires specialized knowledge and retrofitting (which I didn't do myself)... I suggest looking out on the web to try and find help doing this. The compatibility bridge works and I used this for a few years but when I recently purchased a V5 HomeLink Chamberlain door opener I decided I wanted something better (the latest door openers from Chamberlain (2025 in my case) has a white learn button). The bridge doesn't have the best range in my experience and takes longer to open as it has to relay signals.

I'm finding the new mirror has much better range!

I had the same issue. Land Rover was slow in switching over. I tried to use the compatibility bridge but couldn't get it to work. Make sure the bridge you buy is returnable!
