Hylomar Sealant

The repair manual says to use Hylomar sealant around the transfer case drain bolt. I was just wondering if there is anything else I can use, or should I use Hylomar, and also, are there any other uses for hylomar, like can I use it on the oil pan drain plug or anything?

What is hylomar? I think I need a new copper/brass washer whatever its called on my oil pan...damn thing drip drip drips slowly out from there...

It's a sealant for gaskets and other things. It's resistant to all types of fluids, oils, gasoline, and it's high temp. I used it on my differentials to seal up the plugs. Do you know a good place to buy washers cheap that will fit discoverys?
