JPTruck, I'll help you out. You seem to like the LR3, but not all the fiddly stuff with it. Let's trade. Mine is rock solid nearly pure mechanical. I have Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control, ABS, and Hill Decent.

But I do NOT have Terrian Control, Nav, or air suspension. As such, the majority of sensors and ECU software is not in my truck. It's a simple truck, using technology similar to the origional Discoveries, just wrapped around a much nicer vehicle (IMHO!).

We're all going to be laughing when we put these things for sale or trade them in. It's going to be f-ing hilarious when you paid $50K (plus interest), but can only get $15K out of it. The other option is keep the beast, but, oops, the son of a ***** keeps having a compressor failure that costs $500 bucks just to crack the hood. God, that'll be funny.

Unless it burns itself to the ground, I'm stuck with this baby until it's fully depreciated in four years. It's a company vehicle, and supposedly a work truck.

Other than that, that might be a good trade. You'd be getting a vehicle that's been serviced 12 times (for various reasons) in 15 months.
