I found an extra keyless entry in the glove box of my D1. The batteries in it were dead so I replaced them. It seems to be transmitting, however does not unlock or lock the doors like the other one that I have. Does it have to be reprogrammed after having the batteries replaced? Or if it is on another frequency is there a way to change it so that I can use it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on the year of D1... 95 and older it is a matter of just locking and unlocking the door with the key, then locking and unlocking with the remote. If newer I have heard it can only be done via the dealer...

I have gotten the one on my 97 model to work by locking and unlocking the door with the key, then locking and unlocking with the remote several times, and it did work.
