I am considering a LR3, can anyone comment on the residual and how it compares to other similar vehicles?

Thanks

In the UK the industry has pegged it at 67% retained value after 3 years and 36,000 miles. Pretty high and up there with the Volvo XC90 which is trading hands used for very high prices as lead times are so long.

Company car leases are very low (for this price and vehicle) due to the high retained value. Not sure in the US though of course.

Just buy it... you'll love her !

Bill,

According to the ALG which is the leasing guide that most banks use, the residual for a 36 month 15,000 mile per year lease on the SE model LR3 is 60%. On the SE7 it's 59%, HSE and HSE7 it's 56%.

Here's some comparisions all on 36 mo 15,000 mile leases,
Acura MDX 61% (56% with Touring pack, Nav and 3rd seat)
BMW X5 54% (52% with 4.4)
Cadillac SRX 47%
Cadillac Escalade 47%
Chevrolet Tahoe 44% (43% for z71)
Ford Expedition 40% (45% for Limited)
Jeep Grand Cherokee 49% (this is an all-new model too!!)
Lexus RX330 56%
Lexus GX470 58%
Mercedes ML350 48% (49% for ML500)
Porsche Cayenne 54% (53% for Turbo)
Toyota Sequoia SR5 4WD 59% (54% for Limited)
VW Touareg 50% (52% for V8, 44% for TDi!!!)

Hope this helps
Stephen
