I have some mild black pitting on the OEM wheels and wanted to know products to use without wrecking clear coat.

I would try scrubbing with dish soap if you aren’t willing to use a “safe for all wheels” cleaner. But either way, get as clean as you can with a detergent and stiff nylon bristle brush, then try a clay bar to get the stuff that is stuck on, off. Just don’t drop the clay bar or you need to throw it out.

IronX.

It smells awful, but works really well. It is safe for clear coat (paint included)

Some agitation with a wheel brush is probably necessary based on your description of your wheels.

Might not be able to fix the pitting, hard to tell without photos.
