What is the value based upon - current consumption, per tank, , trip miles, total miles driven?

Break out your owner's manual for more info; it should be in your glove box.

It's from whenever you last reset the center "trip computer" to 0. (Which includes Range, MPG & MPH.)

I've read it cover to cover. Didn't remember that being in there.

My guess is it's under a section called "Trip Computer." (Not in front of me right now, sorry.)

I noticed a jump in highway MPG if I don't use the cruise control. Load doesn't seem to be much of a factor either.

I guess there is alot of transmission kick down with the cruise on?
