I am getting a P1447 code on my 98 Disco with 135k miles
P1447 is "Purge valve open or short circuit fault"
This model has the "advanced Eva" system. Apparently the advance is adding a second solenoid/valve? to the side of the charcoal canister. The first solenoid valve(standard on "regular eva" system) is an inline job hanging on the plumbing going into the canister.
1. Is this second side valve equally suspect?
2. how to test solenoid valve ? - ie what is the standard resistance of a good valve?
3. Anyone have the **** on the "Advanced eva" ?
