I finally had to disable the auto dipping mirrors. I actually liked this feature as it was useful when backing up and trying to line up parking spaces or avoid objects (curbs).

However, my mirrors were getting slower and slower and it got to the point that they would never return back to the original location after a dip (even if I left the car running and waited) so I had to turn it off. I'd be driving down the road, check my mirror, and realize I was looking at the side of my car!

Is there any fix for this? The mechanic said my motors are probably old and the only fix he knows of is replacing the mirrors at $600 each. I like the feature...but it isn't worth $1200...

Was hoping it was just something that needed lubricated.
