I've just joined this forum and this is my first post. I have a Freelander 1 (2004) with powerfold mirrors. My problem is: when I open or close the mirrors, they 'knock' or judder for a few seconds. Is this repairable or does it mean new mirrors? Also, is the fault in the mirrors themselves or is it a switch problem. If it is the mirrors, can I, as a non-mechanic, remove and replace them (I have a Haynes manual)? Finally, any advice on replacement mirrors if needed?
My LandRover garage have quoted over a £100 per mirror which is expensive!
