Can anyone tell me why ATF Dextron II or III is recommended for the R380 manual gearbox as fitted to the Defender 110 1996 Tdi 300 with R380 gearbox and yet SMX-S is recommended for the R380 gearbox as fitted to the Discovery II 2004 model Td5. Suely ATF has much lower viscosity that SMX-S at W75-80 ?????????? why can't I put SMX-S into my Defender R380 box as well as my Discovery II ????????????
