Radio Codes - again

Having read the previous threads on Land Rover Discovery 1 Radio Codes, removing the battery for urgent maintenance on my recently purchased Disco1 seemed to be easy, however when I contacted my local dealer with Vin # they were unable to give me the code (key #s and outstanding service bulletins O.K.) So no radio!
Any advice?

If they couldn't give you the correct codes, then it may be the radio was changed.... you will have to remove the radio and provide them with the serial number of the radio.

I would also look through the owners manual or any papers that came with the Disco and look for the code.
