Roof rack removal

Hey guys i need help removing my stock roof rack. I understand that there are the tabs you have to slide the crossbars to to get them out but mine wont seem to pop out. Any help would be appreciated. I away from my owners manuals so that is why i didn consult them

Did you unlock the tabs on the rack themselves and slide out the cover for the allen key screws? Once you loosen those, the rack should not be as tight when entering the exit slots of the rails.. Did I even make any sense?
