Our driveway is on a slight incline. So, I always make it a habit to engage the parking brake on all my vehicles when I park them. Less load on the trans, and all that...
Lately, I am noticing that the rear brakes are squealing (after I release the parking brake) and slowing drive away. It feels as if the parking brake is not releasing fast enough, causing the noise.
I have taken the LR4 to the dealer to look at it. They say while they do hear the noise coming from the back EVERYTIME they release the parking brake and move off, everything is working correctly. As such, there is nothing really they can repair under warranty.
They recommended that I have rears cleaned up to see if that helped, of which I had them do. Still, I am left with the squeal.
Any suggestions how to fix this?

Mine is a 2012.
And it used to only occur when starting off in reverse. Now, it happens either direction.

your breaks are probably wearing low. About two months prior to brake light, I would hear squealing more frequent.
