Hello everyone, I purchased a used 2001 DII this summer and had a question regarding surface rust. I live in Michigan and now that it is winter we are getting salt on the roads. I washed my DII this last weekend and noticed several small specs that were rust colored, usually down on the body panels to the rear of the wheels, but not limited to these areas. While I was washing the car I noticed that these spots could be rubbed away. There is no exposed metal under the spots, my question is if this surface rust is normal, should I be concerned and what is the best way to combat it from getting worse or reoccuring. Thanks.
