If i was to put a 3" suspension lift (2"lift blocks + 1" taller springs) on my 98 Disco, that would be the max lift before i need to do any major modification, right? I already have some extended brake lines from http://www.paragonperformance.com

It really depends on the Rover, some will be fine with a 3 inch lift, others will vibrate you to death.

I also heard removing the sway bar help the ride when you have a firmer ride

Vibration would be from the driveline angles.

Sway bar will just allow you to lean real far in the turns... may scare the BLEEP out of you the first time it happens.
