My 1995 Disco was stuck in a car park with the gear lever stuck in park. Thanks for the many threads that identified the brake lite switch. I pulled the switch and shorted the wires to get the truck home. I bought a new switch at Autozone for $31.99 plus tax. A 5 minute fix.

I don't know but maybe I'm crazy! But is it me or are these the most problem prone vehicles ever?

I saw that some guy wanted to fix his rotors and was looking for some help. Another guy told him that he should not have bought a " luxary vehice" if he could not afford to fix it. These trucks are far from luxary. I'm sure that a lot of you bought these trucks because of how cheap used ones are. I did. and now on most days I feel like driving it off a cliff. Every time I fix one problem, another props up.

My point is, without forums like this and the people who suscribe to them , most Discos would be in the scrap heap. So thanks to all of you.

Keep in mind that 90% of the posts in any forum for any vehicle is about problems... how often do you read a post that starts out with "Wow 250k miles and all I have done is basic maintenance, how many others have seen such great results?" And then you get 40 replies saying "is that all, I have 400k miles on my whatsucallit car and all I have done is put gas in it."

Forums are for issues, try reading the forums for Chrysler's(transmission issues) Fords have issues, Look up Jaguar or Mercedes talk about issues.
