I have a 2005 LR3, HSE with approximately 1500 miles on it. On a recent highway trip, maybe 20 min into the trip, the vehicle started to vibrate considerably. I thought that I had picked up something on a tire, throwing the wheel out of balance. I pulled the vehicle over to check the tires and every tire was okay. There was however, a very strong burning rubber smell definetly coming from the truck. There was no evidence of smoke either under the hood or under the vehicle. I drove the vehicle another 10 miles with no problems at all, but the smell of rubber was still there, just not as strong as before. A couple of hours later, I drove home, about 30 miles, and parked the truck in the garage. The smell was very faint, but still there.
