Subject tells all.

Okay, I replaced my TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor) just today and I am still getting the reading from the Land Rover Dianostic reader as Code 17. I been researching allll over the net to fine why I am having this problem with my land Rover.

Can someone here tell me what Test 17 is?

Thanks
Uswin

Hold the phone.... first, what year is this about (maybe add this to your signature)

If we are talking pre-OBDII then I can only guess what test 17 is that is referred to in most of the OBDI code readings.

Yeh, Code 17 come popping, I got a felling it the Idle Air Control Valve. The IACV has been willl Rather noisey lately and pretty much pulled off the IACV.

The IACV has tons of Carbon over the needle looking valve and but the looks of things, it not working. To sum it up, I spend 56.41 on Ebay for a new IACV <Which means I got it very very cheap.> I'll give my report when the part comes in.

I hope it works out. I don't get to see to many pre-OBDII Rovers where I live. For that matter most of what I see in the town I live in is LR3's or new RR's. I think people around here have money for a small town.
