    Anyone use this oil?

I've been using this for 40k miles 5w30.

    Aftermarket rear ladder

I have the $200 Front Runner and it has been great. There was minor water ingress at the bottum rung so there was a slight rust run. I sealed up underneath with a clear silicone and haven't had issues since.

    Reduced Engine Performance

I would say the first two culprits at the cost of two cleaners would be cleaning your throttle body and MAF sensor. Very easy to DIY with detailed YouTube videos available.

Do LR3 lug nuts have a cap on them?

Yes - they have a tin like cap on them. They will swell when corroded underneath and you will need a larger socket at some point. I have replaced most of them over time and should have just purchased gorilla nuts like some have on here in the beginning.

My private LR mechanic wants to move to synthetic oil. Shall I?

I picked my LR3 up with just under 50k miles. Not knowing what was previously used, I started my first oil change with the castrol 5w30 full synthetic. I thought for some reason that if a car has run synthetic, it's not ideal to go back to conventional. .. I could be way wrong!

Also would be ideal for the 3 individual seats in second row if possible... Thanks!

    Desperate for help

A lot of us use the shorter Johnson rods to lift the LR but they do make longer rods to lower the vehicle as well. http://johnsonrods.com/johnson_rods_2_003.htm

Throwing codes and rough idle + check engine light

Yep, I agree with tlt. Just pick up a can of throttle body cleaner and maybe a mass air flow sensor cleaner and start there. You'd be amazed how this has solved the very same issue for a lot of us.

    Wheel Color Opinions

I agree... I should have started off buying the black gorilla nuts from the beginning after almost replacing all my swollen nuts haha over time. Now I don't want to spend money for lug nuts.

    Wheel Color Opinions

I used satin black paint and think it's a good fit with the gloss black exterior. The first picture shows the wheels dirty after a month of dust and the second picture is pretty clean. I vote satin black for you!

    Plastidip and off roadin

I sprayed all the plastic trim on my Lr3 with plasti dip. Overall, I'm still pretty pleased with the results and how it is holding up. I have one small tear from a branch on the front passenger wheel arch and some scratches that haven't torn but do not go away. Most of what I go through is a...

The obligatory "Show off your LR3' thread

Awesome Houm! I have a 15 month old and one on the way November. Can't wait to get out with them at an age to where they would have as much fun as me! You have mud terrains?

    EBC brake pads

I put the Akebono pads on rear... they have been great paired with EBC slotted and drilled rotors. Waiting on fronts to wear down a bit more and will replace with Akebonos.
