    8 Cylinder vs 6 Cylinder

I really like the power I get from my v8. Wish all models came with HD. Mostly I wish they would puta larger gas tank in these things! The twice weekly (filling tank) reminder that the thing gets crappy MPG is a bit much.

    Hiddden Winch Install -- Estimate

@ncburch22-- I'm based in Missouri. I'm certain the shop didn't want to mess with the install so gave me a crazy high estimate. I ended up doing the install myself. It's not 100% professional but frankly wasn't all that difficult.

    Lug nut Mystery

During the research phase I emailed gorilla direct regarding part fit for the Competitive wheels. Here is the response: From the website it appears that the wheels are designed to use the OEM lug nuts. If that is correct, my part number 75148RBC is a black “Land Rover” style lug nut designed...

    Lug nut Mystery

Thanks for the feedback. The shop that installed my wheels/tires is a great place, they equip various vehicles for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and I would defiantly recommend. Rex Tires in COLO Springs, CO. In the ideal I am sure he is correct, I should use lugs identical in shape to the OME. If...

    Lug nut Mystery

Thought I would check in here, see if anyone running the Gorilla lugs has a report on their longer term reliatiblity. Today I had my new Compo's installed and really want to get black lugs to match. installer discouraged me from using the Gorilla as the measurements are not equivilant to the...

T44 rock sliders - Test fitting (long post)

@bmw -- seems to me you should keep them white to match the LR.

T44 rock sliders - Test fitting (long post)

For those who installed rubber sound insulator with the T44 sliders -- wondering if you could share diameters, sources, and/or any related recommendations. I am about to install the sliders and just saw the suggestions to ad rubber so thought I would reach out. Thanks in advance for any...

    Hiddden Winch Install -- Estimate

This is a close up of the rough cut I started for the handle. I will take another pass with the grinder and then use hand file to smooth and even it out.

    Hiddden Winch Install -- Estimate

@geoffx19 -- Did you use the terrafirma mount? I have cut the plastic back around the top front edge of the mount and notched out the freespool handle (that I had to clock back to 9:00 because of the lack of vertical clearance. Do you have a photo or two you could post? It would be most...

    Hidden Winch Install

I have been making progress on the install. I picked up a 4 inch grinder and have nearly completed the cutting of the plastic bumper. Tomorrow I hope to have time to cut the opening for the rope. Slow and steady. I also clocked the winch and rotated the handle to the front. Avoided the...

    Hidden Winch Install

A very old thread but also one of the ONLY decent guides for install of a hidden winch. One bit of information I can add bit of insight for those attempting this install: There is no need to drill out the captive nuts. After dissembling all of the pieces I inserted the original bolt a slight...

Question about the factory hitch reciever

I finally was able to get my hitch to recede and attach to the vehicle. It took a multiplier wrench and a rubber mallet. My second disappointment in the LR. $500+ hitch should be functional.

    Hiddden Winch Install -- Estimate

I picked up a terra-firma hidden winch mounting plate and got a great deal on a superwinch. Reviewing a number of sites on how to go a about doing the install I got scared away from doing the project myself. I just don't feel like I am ready to cut pieces out of the bumper. I emailed a local...
