i totally realize most of us would love to have this problem. But the SO wonders why the system is not functioning anymore.
This is a 2015 with 20k milea. No warning lights, no faults stored. We did a config restore with the IID tool as recommended by GAP. No change. I did measure the auxilliary battery at 12.7 volts while disconnected. Perhaps a load test is in order.

This is really not a bad problem to have. Just curious.

Mine seemed to have stopped as well MY2016, granted we usually keep the heater or AC on which I know tends to keep it from turning off.

Again, not complaining because it is actually the worst thing in the world.

Too cold outside, perhaps? There are specific instances (low ambient temperature being one of them) where the stop/start system will not operate - by design. They are listed in the manual.

Our temps are in the 60's and 70's here in El Paso. I did read the conditions listed in the manual. My first suspicion was faulty temp sensor(s) but both coolant and air readings read normal. AC on or off makes no difference.

I would try the load test...kind of curious as well. I have same vintage and mileage and my start/stop quit a while ago with the same lack of faults and warning lights.

Model year 2016 1/2 with 7000 miles operating in Houston and mine has mysteriously stopped working.... No warning lights. I am seriously delighted!! Will have to coach the service department not to "fix" anything when warranty service work is done. Any btw, outside of this (non) issue, the vehicle has performed flawlessly.

I'm in the same boat. 2016.5 with 6,000 miles. Last time it worked was late last year. Not running A/C, seat warmers, heat, etc. Basically no real load required of the system. I was thinking that maybe the aux battery just hadn't charged enough, as my commute is only about 7 miles freeway/street mix. I'll prove that theory right or wrong next week when we take it on a road trip.

But like the rest of you, likely will not report this to LR when I bring it in later in the year for it's annual.

All of these comments seem to be proof that LR tossed this system in the LR4 simply to meet some guideline or mandate, but did not invest a lot of time/money in its development. I wonder if the Disco 5 owners will be as "fortunate" and have the system fail almost universally across the board inside a year??

My 2015 did the same thing as described by OP. It ended up being a faulty module that controls the system. Fixed under warranty of course. I sure enjoyed the few months of no ECO nor Amber light! A few weeks ago I tried duplicating the scenario by disconnecting a few of the fuses in the ECO battery compartment, there's a small box under the ECO battery cover that holds 4 fuses. Unfortunately this threw the Amber ECO light on immediately. I even tried disconnecting the two wire harnesses within the same compartment. I have settled for the ECO battery disconnected and will live with the Amber light until one of us can crack the code!

If it is broken that pesters me because now I want to fix it ... I wonder if there is a way to reverse the wiring and have the Amber light display when the system is turned ON, not off... that would solve most of my problems.
