What year? If its the v8, might well be the vacuum pump. Been reported on these forums a few times. It’s connected to the intake via vacuum hose. When it goes bad, oil is sucked straight from the pump/crankcase into the intake.

If its an scv6, could be the supercharger bypass is stuck closed. I know someone on here had that problem once and it was sucking a bunch of oil into the intake under wot, i guess through the crankcase vent/pcv.

On either engine, a totally ripped pcv valve might let oil into the intake under high backpressure conditions.

I've done valvestem seals on a small block pushrod V8 and it wasn't hard but you have to be careful that you don't drop the keepers or the valves down into the cylinder.

Valve stem seal failures are extremely rear.
A leaking valve stem seal would only show up on engine deceleration, like exiting a freeway ramp. i.e. high engine vacuum.

I had one a couple months ago. Was guzzling five qts of oil in a 1,000 miles.
Ended up needing an engine. Piston rings were shot.

did you go with a new engine? did you get quoted for the cost of an engine rebuild?
