Burning 6qts with no smell is amazing.
my tech was convinced they just forgot to put the new oil in at the last service. luckily i didn't drive the car much. then they did another oil change, and a few days later there was oil missing again and the dash oil monitor had no clue.

So they drained the oil and never replenished or they failed to top up? How much did you drive like this?
i took it in for oil change which they did. Drove home a few miles and for whatever reason i decided to check the oil on the dash. i was getting 2 different readings using the hood open and hitting the cancel button vs the regular way. it said add a qrt so i did. my gut told me to bring it back to the shop. They called and said the car was missing 5 or 6 qrtz as if they forgot to put in oil. im friends with the shop owner and he is a very honest person. they dug around for a while and figured out the oil went into the intake, then they fixed the vacuum pump, pcv valves etc...but at no point did the car identify or communicate a low oil state.

I can't see where a large volume of oil would hide in the intake. A few spoonfuls sure but quarts? The oil would pool on the back side of the intake valves immediately I would think.
