1996 disc. will not start

okay maybe some one has run into this before. 4.0 motor, the motor will turn over and not start, i can take the negative batt cable off and it will start right up, im guessing a sensor but which one, any help would be greatly appr.

? if you take the negative battery cable off you shouldn't have any voltage to even start. Please provide more info.

the motor will turn over, but not start i can take the negative cable off and put it back on and
it will start up no problem, drive fine, drove it for 12 hours and 200 mile. shut if off and it will not start untill i take the cable off and put it back on

Sounds like an alarm issue. Does your remote work? If so, try locking and unlocking 4 times slowly to see if this fixes it.

If not.... do the lock unlock with the key.
