Dont know if anyone cares, just installed an Amazon snorkel/RAI on my 2006 LR3 SE, no instructions included, missing 2 templates, but in the end figured it out. So far, no noise on road or highway from it, it has a website stamped on the back that is ground off, but they forgot one piece, it is from rv4x4.com. Could not find it on their website. The cost from Amazon was $125, time will tell how it holds up.

Is this RAI completely sealed at the side vent?
How does it connect, any drilling?

On a raised air intake, it is not sealed to the air box, so no, you won't get better fording ability. On the matter of fording to the top of the windscreen, no, under any circumstances, you cannot go deeper than the hood, or water will pour into the cabin and flood the computers and electronics through the cabin air intake.

That's the Achilles heal. I probably would not install a snorkel if I had it to do over again, but I did it, the actual Safari snorkel, rather than the Chinese knock off.

To do the Safari three bolt holes had to be cut on around the air intake, and a hole had to be expanded to connect to the air box in the inner fender.
