Went to reset the service indicator post oil-change, as a good opportunity to try out the IID tool. I scanned codes while I was there and got a B1163-15 code from both Driver Door Module (DDM) and Passenger Door Module (PDM), about "heater output - General electrical failure - circuit short to battery or open"
I did a search here for that code and came up empty handed, though some suggested the heated windshield is somehow linked - my heated windshield works fine from what I've seen, and the washer nozzles likewise. Funnily, I'd brought up the issue that the side mirrors never seemed do defrost, and was always told "the car decides when to run them, there's no way to test". Looking at the wiring diagram, it seems the heating element is powered via the DDM/PDM, which itself is protected by a 25A fuse. I'll go pop the mirrors off and test them with my multimeter, but are there other things I should check?
