I just put the Traxide kit on my 2013 LR4. The stock battery is only a couple of years old, but seems a bit weak already.

Only thing I need to do is find a better aux battery tie down, the factory bracket doesn't fit the odyssey as well as I would like.

Nice (I have the Exide as well as my main one and am very happy with it thus far.) I also think it's a smart idea to match types - AGM with AGM - when going the auxiliary battery route.

I also think it's a smart idea to match types - AGM with AGM - when going the auxiliary battery route.

My experience says it doesn't matter at all, in an lr3 anyway. Mine had the original battery in from early 2007 new until 2014 (roughly 95,000 miles) and I only pulled it because is just seemed like maybe it was getting weak with some odd things going on.

However, being that lr4 requires coding but the lr3 does not, maybe the system is also different in other ways.

You are supposed to reset the BMS when replacing a used battery with a brand new one in the LR4. I think that's especially critical in MY2014s+ with intelligent stop/start and auxiliary battery, but the shop manual recommends resetting it regardless of model year. LR3s didn't have such battery management devices installed.

How do you do that?
