i was wndering if the impeller in the pump is plastic? reason being, it is overheating when you drive it and then cools down at idle, that would mean that the plstic impeller is cracked around the retaining nut and when rpms increase, the impeller no longer spins. the reason i know this is b/c it happened on a gm car that i own and i have been through this before. if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
