For the past couple weeks my engine has been making this strange chirp/squak noise when accelerating. It seems to be coming from somewhere in the rear of the plenum. At first I thought that the plenum might have lost its seal but that wasnt the problem. I then thought that it might be a loose flute and sure enough a flute was loose but after fixing it the squeaking didnt stop. It doesnt affect the driving but it is pretty annoying while driving, any thoughts would be heplful.

Are you sure the issue isn't the s-belt tensioner bearing going bad?

On a D1 I would look for a cracked Exhaust manifold, or leaking exhaust.
