I just picked up a lightly used compressor (LR015303) on eBay for $1.25. Really, the word "compressor" was misspelled in the title so no one saw it or bid on it. Anyway, I really don't need one YET but it makes sense to have a back up since I plan on keeping the truck for the long haul. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has replaced the unit themself and if so, how they would rate the job?

Overall not that difficult of a job. There is one hidden bolt above it. Once the entire compressor bracket is down you may find that one of the screws for the mounting bushing is frozen. Nine times out of ten this bolt will break. I've always drilled the bolt out, ground down both sides of the bracket where the bolt was and replace it with a regular machine screw and nut. Other than that its not to bad..
