Hot Transmission

Transmission on 95 Disco gets really hot during normal driving. Whats up with that?

They all do, nothing unusual about that. Have you actually tried to get a temp reading from it?

If you think about it, the trans cooler is immersed in the radiator.

The engine coolant (200deg.) runs thru' to cool down, it's not unusual to have 240deg. in auto trans.
