Iam having a 2001 engine put in my 1999 disco 2, is there any real problems with this year that anyone knows about?

Have the rear seal replaced prior to installation, and the front seal on your transmission if automatic. You will never get this easy of an opportunity again.
If I may be so bold to ask... How much is this costing you? Are you getting it done at your local mechanic or having Land Rover do it?
I've got a '96 with a 5 speed, and I love the thing, so the plans are to NOT replace it and replace the motor when the time comes.. so just planning ahead

3400 alot but worth it.
that is with the hourly charge as well..
local mech. not to many people here in indy will work on land rovers.
