Hi all - when shopping for a replacement oil filter, (using Amsoil this time round), I notice that there are 2 options for my model (2001 se7) - same part number, but one is designated "long" and one "short". will either one fit? is one better than the other?

While i'd steer off from Amsoil filters (sorry), longer one is what you want. bigger oil capasity of filter - better flow + bigger surface - easier cleaning.

I use long version of K&N, thanks to both Mikes here :)

Well, thats good, I gambled and took the long one :) any particular reason to steer clear of amsoil filters? Opinons on their oil or fuel additives? I have used their stuff for years with no problems, but always interested to hear what others run into.
