Rover to Salisbury diff swap anyone?

Rover to Salisbury diff swap can anyone help?

I have braked my 88 serie III rear diff and its an original rover type, now I found a Salisbury diff and I want to put it on to my land rover.

what are the problems that I can find doing this swap or what do I need to do the swap.

make sure that the salisbury diff has the same ratio as your standard diff.. i believe the standard rover diff for S3 is 4.7:1 and the salisbury can come in 3.5 as well as 4.7 if i'm not mistaken. good luck.
