Traction Failure

I have a 99 Range Rover 4.0 When I start it, I get a message that says "Traction Failure" What does this mean??? I would hate to go to the dealer. Please help!!!!!

Not sure what the issues is, but move to the RR portion of the site, I am sure someone can help.

Hi , if you have clokkk like noise when you change into reverse and then in drive ,no sweat it is just a mater of your rear axel ..This is reported in most of Range Rover 1995 and up to 2000 ,just disassemble them and use a special lock tight product and back up and (voila ) no more problem .(hope it will help )

It simply means there is a fault in the traction control system. Could be any number of things causing it. I hate to say it but I think you'll have see the dealer on this.
