Perhaps everyone's eco battery is weak/dying and they are only engaging when they are able to gain enough temporary charge to function and the circumstances call for it.
Dealer repair for stop start, put 50 miles on my rig. Sound right?

Like others my 2015 Eco went south too. It ended up being the power distribution box, part #867126.
