I have a 1996 land Rover discovery 1 with the 4.0 V8 and Manuel trans. It's getting way to much fuel I've changed fuel filter ,fuel regulator, crank sensor still no change any ideas to what this could be?

Mileage? Maintenance history? other than fuel filter fuel reg and crank sensor.

How do you know it is getting too much fuel?

What Codes are you getting if any? i.e. check engine light.

138,000 miles no idea on maintenance history. You can smell raw fuel coming from tailpipe drowned out three New sets of plugs so far.

Have the codes read at the local auto part store and then find out what the truck is saying. Sounds like it could be several different things. The only way to narrow it down is with the codes.

First thought in my mind is bad O2 sensors. they are supposed to control the fuel trim. But you need the codes to find out. Get the codes and report back and perhaps we can help further.

You will overheat and destroy your Cats if you keep driving it in this condition, big $$$$ mistake.
All eight plugs wet or just one or a couple?
If just one it sounds like a leaking injector.
Fuel temp sensor acting up telling the ECU to add more cold start fuel even at operating temp?
You check the fuel rail pressure?
