Thanks so much for the great thoughts guys, and my apologies for taking so long to respond... I ended up buying a 2018 Range Rover Sport Td6 (certified) and turned in the LR4 to a local Carmax for $3,800 cash. Definitely miss the LR4 already - such a workhorse, and a true member of our family...- 94speedster

I just do routine (by the book) maintenance, earlier in its life with a dealer and then eventually a trusted independent. After start-up, I let the car the car find idle (10-20 seconds?) before putting it in gear - but that is just superstition on my part. I recommend not worrying too much...- 94speedster

I am a car guy and have spent thousands of hours on chat boards over the last 25+ years.... I've learned that most of the *alarmists* are absolutely correct that there is an issue to explore, but more often than not the issue is an exception and not the general rule... What oil are you using?
I still buy the Jaguar-branded filter... for some reason, it is $8 cheaper at the local dealer than the Rover part. Have used a Mahle purchased off Amazon and it worked great.- 94speedster

Heated Steering Wheel Not Working
I had the same issue a few years ago, and unfortunately never got it resolved. They dealer told me that "I needed a new circuit board" and the cost would be @$1,000 installed. I now wear gloves (jk)... I think that Quijote offers the best advice, and I plan to dive into this as a summer...- 94speedster

Aftermarket compressor for suspension?
Just crossed 230,000 miles on our 2011 LR4, and have yet to replace the compressor but have rebuilt it once with a $48 kit from the UK (UKARAUTO) back in Summer 2017. It took my son and I about 4 hours to figure it out, but it is still holding strong to date. Lastly, we live at 7,500 feet...- 94speedster

Gorgeous! My apologies for taking 4 MONTHS to respond to your post, but I just saw it today... Love the 993 Cab and the 997TT is a such a beast (and IMHO, under appreciated to date by the P-Car community). Those are two beautiful cars!!! Agreed 100%... Do you ski? Those Porsches (up through 964, and even 993) remind me of the 1980s & 1990s Volkl race skis.... Ski them well, and they are EPIC. Get lazy for a second, and you are flat on your ass. Good fun! The car next to it is a 996 GT3. Now that car is a raw "throw back" 911...- 94speedster
