I rented a pretty sizable rototiller today to establish a garden plot in the cow pasture on the property out back. The rental guy looked at the LR4 and said, "Yeah, that should fit." So I put it in access mode to make it easier for him to ramp up the tiller in the back. Once he got it up past...
Maybe the method is a convenience for LR technicians when they are doing oil changes. The "hood up" would make sense if they are changing the oil and want to check if the level is acceptable without having to wait for 15 minutes to do so.
They might also understand if there would be a...
I did a quick search and didn't find any aftermarket rear locker either. In fact, I couldn't even find a replacement part for the rear locker. AB had a motor kit. Maybe that's it. But seems more like an electric motor to maybe activate the locking differential rather than the unit itself...
An 8 year old vehicle with 12k miles averages out to 1.5k miles a year. Is that even good for a vehicle to be driven that little? I've heard there can be problems that arise from lack of use.
This may sound stupid (and probably is) but have you tried pushing and holding down two buttons at the same time (outside right and outside left, I think)? Been a minute since I set mine up (successfully after a number of different runs at it). Seem to recall the entire library of saved...
Neighbor lady at the subdivision we recently moved from had a 2017 D5, white with black trim. Barely drove it. Saw it pull out of the drive a couple times a month. Nice person. She came over one day and she positively commented on my LR4 and said she couldn't believe it was over 10-years...
Mine is a daily driver I bought used to replace a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder that was totaled when I got rear-ended. Local vehicle sold by a private owner with reasonably low miles at a good price. Drove it and liked it. Seemed like a good comp to the Pathfinder. Bought it to drive it. To me...
Great! I can cross chains off the list of things to get neurotic about. I'm not going to drive it around with restricted performance codes and/or obvious bad noises coming from the engine.
That's interesting information, and comforting. My biggest fear is immediate and catastrophic engine failure that occurs without warning. Other stuff I can deal with, work around it, park the car until it can be fixed, or whatever. Otherwise, you can never be comfortable driving the car...
I wasn't trying to be snarky with my previous comment. That would be my legit first response. Then I'd get mad, like it sounds you are. Without getting into specifics of the why and how of it, no normally maintained engine should blow up at 65k miles, unless it's a KIA. You might have some...
