Anyone deal with cracked sunroof rails?

It looks like the plastic brackets are cracked on the exterior sunroof sliding rails for both sides. Do you think its going to come apart on the freeway? It seems like there is a metal part inside the plastic, but its hard to tell. Anyone have cracked brackets or dealt with it before?

Not that part, but one of the plastic pillars that pushes the window up on the tracks is cracked. My solution is not to use the sunroof.

It was discovered when I brought it to an Indy guy that does nothing but sunroofs when I was looking to clear a clogged drain. Simple guy, but knows his sunroofs. Throw him a little cash and a handshake and the transaction is complete. His take was that I would need to have the entire sunroof pulled which would mean dropping the headliner and doing the job right.

The juice isn't worth the squeeze. At least not for me.
