okay so just thought I would finally give y'all an update, sorry I know it's been awhile. I think what happened was that sometime before having replaced my head gaskets the engine "hydrolocked" from there being too much coolant in one of the combustion chambers; I just kept cranking the engine... -

NAS D90 rear forward facing bench seat
Would anyone be willing to sell their OEM forward facing bench seat from their D90? Prefebly one in good condition, little to no rust on seat frame. Perhaps someone has upgraded to the four-seat configuration and doesn't need their old bench anymore. -

Well anyways, I took the heads off and found where the pushrod came from, the front passenger side cylinder. Also took off the oilpan and found a bent/broken piston rod which corresponded to the cylinder w/ the missing pushrod. By the way the pushrod fell out through the lifter hole after the... -

So I just finished installing a new proline head gasket set in my 1997 4.0 Defender, thought I did a great job putting it all back together. Started it up, ran very well, drove it around for a while, no problems. Went to go get take out later in it and on the way home hear a pow, oil light goes... -

I'm changing the head gaskets because there is a small coolant leak, but the engine has never been overheated in its 63,000 miles, is it really necessary that I get the heads checked for warp? -

Hi, it seems I have a blown head gasket on my 4.0 1997 Defender 90 so I'm planning on replacing both of them this weekend. Can anybody give me any tips, points of reference, how to's, etc.? Any advice would be appreciated. -

Defender 90 Speaker Box?
Does anyone know where I can find a new old stock speaker box/surround for my rear left hand speaker in my D90? I'm hoping there's some original equipment ones out there.
