I've got a 2006 LR3. I've changed the oil but determined I can't reset the maint. due warning on the instrument cluster. Does anybody know if I can reset it with a OBDII/CAN reader? Thanks.
Bad move IMO. I've got a 2006 SE with 28K that is flawless with the exception of a key position brain fart the dealer is working on. Needs nothing, has service included and warranty to 48K IIRC. I'm going to sell it in a month and I'll get $22K. There are many out there like mine so this...
Upon even futher review by the NFL officials, here's what is going on. You stop the car with and with your foot still on the brake shift to Park. So far so good. When the key is turned off with your foot still on the brake it will not go to the 0 position but it feels very close to it. With...
The dealer spent two days and could replicate the problem. Brought the truck home and couldn't get the key out again. It is something to do with some RF or IR interference.
Could be a shot between the eyes for the LR3.
Update
I'll pass on the latest because it is so quirky.
Last night it took over 30 minutes for my wife to get the key out. We realized it is only happening in our garage. When we press unlock on the key fob an alarm would go off next door. Turns out there is a failrly large EMT van...
The thing about this that is odd is that it feels like the key is going back to the 0 position. It just runs and can't be removed. I can't figure out in the 0 position why you wouldn't be able to remove the key.
My wife is driving it in Florida right now and it's making her insane. Her...
Good suggestion.
Yes my foot is on the brake but it doesn't need to be to take the key out. The brake interlock releases so you can shift out of park. Compliments of Audi legislation.
The shift interlock sounds likely.
My 2006 LR3 has an intermitant problem with the ignition. Sometimes when I turn the key to the off position it does not turn the motor off nor does it let me remove the key. Jiggling the key somehow works but it doesn't feel like there is any slop in it. The truck has 24K on it.
Any ideas...
The two dealers I've used in Boulder and Denver are sub par but I'm glad yours is good. It has such a huge impact on the ownership experience. No way three hours round trip is practical for me to have a daily driver worked on. I don't love anything that much.
I'm sure everyone would be singing the praises of CR if they gave rave reviews of the LR3. My experience over just 1.5 years has been pretty solid. Fewer problems than my wife's Rx350 Lexus.
I talked to the dealer last week and their warranty work revenue declined $500K in 2007. That's a...
I"d worry about access height screwing up the baseline geometry. I can visually see that camber changes so I'd think toe in/out would too. I'd think if they align with it dropped it's going to vary quite a bit when it is at the normal level. I watched mine being done at the dealer and it was...
I'm very happy with the LR3 but I think it has only eoungh power for itself. There are no easy gains to be had with the LR3 motor as it is pretty well tuned out of the box. I'm also very conservative about towing. When things go bad towing, which they can in a hurry, I want the more than ample...
I guess I'm going to take a minority opinion. I towed two jet skis with an on the trailer weight of about 2000lbs. I thought the LR3 was very underpowered and in general it just worked too hard to get the job done. . Granted I'm at high altitude but I couldn't imagine pulling a car on an open...
