    Fuel Gauge Stuck on Empty

Glad my post could be helpful. I'm not sure if I follow you...you're fuel gauge is stuck on full now but gives a warning light when it's low? I don't know what they are running now, but the front sending unit was about $60-70 from Amazon when I replaced it. I bought both because I wasn't sure...

    Fuel Gauge Stuck on Empty

Fuel gauge fixed! After getting the estimate from the LR service center, I had a renewed resolve to replace the fuel level sensors myself. A couple weeks ago I ordered the parts I needed from Amazon - all in just around $130. Since then I've just been burning down my gas till I was as close...

    2005 front fuel sending unit

Gracias, Alvaro!

    Fuel Gauge Stuck on Empty

Thanks for that info Trynian. Sitting at LR Flatirons right now, waiting on oil change. Was gonna have them look at the gas gauge issue but decided not too when they said it would cost $100 (just for the analysis). I'm too cheap. I guess the thing is that it is driving fine and it's simple...

    Fuel Gauge Stuck on Empty

As a long overdue update: A few months ago I pulled the tank off of the LR3, not too hard of a task, but it always seems like there's one more bolt that you missed. Once I got it loose and was able to drop it, I encountered the wiring and the cap on top. I was a little nervous about the job...

    Fuel Gauge Stuck on Empty

I have found a handful of other threads on this, but nothing too current, so I thought I'd start a new one. The family and I were taking the LR3 east across Colorado headed to Kansas to visit family. The LR3 was not happy about heading east and away from the mountains I guess, and suddenly...

    Hand Winch for Self Recovery?

American Power Pull or Hi Lift Jacks Yeah, it's really not something I plan on using much, which is the main reason I don't want to invest in an electric winch setup. I want something that I can be confident will work in the rare event that I will need it, but I don't really plan on doing...

    Hand Winch for Self Recovery?

Harbor Fright -I like that. I love that store, but when it comes to this, I don't think I'd want to risk it. The Wyeth Scott winches are exactly what I was looking for, just wish they were even more affordable. Still a lot cheaper than an electric winch install.

    Hand Winch for Self Recovery?

Want to add that I drive a 2008 LR3, so as most of you are probably aware it is about 2.75 tons.

    Hand Winch for Self Recovery?

I've been looking around the web and haven't found a whole lot about this, so I want to throw a line out and see if anyone else has experience or opinion on hand winches for self recovery. I'd love to throw an electric winch on the front, but am not in a financial place to throw the kind of...

    What is y'alls MPG?

Pleasantly surprised I've only had my '08 for a week now (all stock, w/ roof bars and General Grabber AT2 tires) - but i've been very pleased with the highway mileage. So far getting about 20 MPG average if most of the trip is highway (cruise at 70) with some stop and go. Took a 90 mile trip...

    Looking for the right LR3

Hello! I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Discovery's but have always been frightened by low reliability and repair costs. I'd given up on the idea years ago of ever actually owning one. My wife and I have one child and hope for at least one, maybe two more. We are adventurous and like...
