Intermittent burning smell?
I had a very similar problem. It was inconsistent and the dealer couldn’t replicate it. One day I noticed wisp of smoke from the A pillar. I had replaced my windshield a year or two earlier and some wiring in the A pillar was messed up. I was able to get it fixed cheaply. -

Dead Battery Mark Twain NF
I’ve had my LR4 battery die twice on camping trips. I believe two things are at play: 1. The key is in proximity to the vehicle keeping the keyless entry /start active for an extended period. Wrap the key in aluminum foil to avoid this. 2. People getting things in and out of the car. Using... -

OIl Leak - top of engine
Any chance this might be caused by a bad PVC valve? I've seen that on other vehicles. PVC valves are cheap and easy to replace. -

2015 LR4 - Battery died, now doors won't lock
I've been camping 4x with my LR4 and 3x the battery got low and I had to jump it or use a POD (power on demand) device. This is driving me nuts... what options are out there to stop the power dying while camping? -

H7 to H8 battery. Any known issues?
Chasing a starting issue with my 2012 LR4 - just clicks on pressing button but will eventually start when using the accelerator pedal override trick. I've had the click in my 2012 while camping (doors open too much or key too close...don't know) but I'm not familiar with the accelerator pedal... -

LR4 Low Compression
I’ve got a 2012 LR4 also with low compression- in my #5 cylinder. Based on the difference between the wet and dry compression tests, we think it is the rings. Ive changed oil at half the recommended intervals so it wasn’t caused by that. I suspect it is a bad batch of rings. Surprisingly... -

$1,200 shipping bill for roof rack.
Unfortunately by law the consumer is liable if the carrier is not paid. Who is the carrier? First I would chase down voyager to get them to pay. If unsuccessful I would get quotes and use the lowest to negotiate. I would then explore small claims against voyager. -

In search of a 5.0l engine
Contact Kyle at Goldwing (315-668-5800). They specialize in Saab but also rebuild the 5.0 Rover engine and provide a good warranty. I’m told they are among the best (I’m researching this myself right now as I seem to have bad rings in #5 cylinder even though I’ve babied it and never overheated). -
