Way to manually engage/disengage the LR3's center diff/transfer case actuator?

VVT / VCT Solenoid Replacement
Did this job last night. Nothing incredibly difficult, just somewhat time consuming. The solenoid looked clean so it must have just failed. thank you both! i finally did find the actual procedure in the manual--i'll attach here. your instructions were exactly right--basically remove the valve cover, unbolt the solenoid, reverse the process. thanks again.- proslambanomenos

LR3 Small Mystery Coolant Leak
i've been experiencing a similar thing. not sure if it's the same cause. i spoke to a seasoned lr mechanic and he said the cardboard gaskets in replacement pumps can leak, and to make sure you get one that is metal. the pump i replaced last summer from autozone (only one available at the time)...- proslambanomenos

2006 LR3 transmission fault
I had a serpentine belt go and when it blew up it ripped the jacketing off of the fan wires, causing them to short, and it threw a few codes including the transmission fault. Ash Tray Won't Close...
You can't just buy a new tray. They make you buy the whole assembly for like $150. There's a little plastic tab that breaks off at the back and underneath the tray. I removed the assembly, epoxied a new tab on with the right size and placement, and it stays in now.- proslambanomenos

Expedition Rack Mounts
I have an LR3 with a Land Rover expedition roof rack. Alternator - OEM or Aftermarket?

Largest Full Size Spare Tire?
Do any of you know what the largest tire size on an 18" wheel will mount and fit under the vehicle using the stock spare winch? I know 255/60/18 fits. Wondering about something like 265 65 18, etc. Thanks- proslambanomenos

GPS when off roading
I use backcountry navigator pro from the play store (~$10).
