Hi There!

I have a 2008 LR3 SE.

I can not locate the TPMS Module. The forums say it is in the overhead console where sunroof control buttons are but I took in down and could not find it there.

Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

What is the problem?

I looked at some tyre pressure module sensor info and about all I could determine is it appeared the whole roof liner was to come down.

I do not quite believe that but I do not think it is accessible thru the front ceiling liner lights opening. If you have the roof mounted DVD player or the rear heater controls, the module may be accessible above the player as I think that is where it is located - but do not go tearing that area apart until someone else agrees with me.

What is the problem that you think you would want to get at the module?

There is an antenna in each wheel well to pick up signal from the Siemens tyre pressure sensors; if the problem is not the wheel sensor, then it is probably the antenna or wiring between the antenna and the module.

Most of that circuit board stuff does not break down but the connectors and conductors to the modules do give problems.

Driver's side C pillar, above the headliner. If rear AC is fitted, the headliner needs to come down a ways for access, if not, then just that side can be loosened up.

Also, the antenna at each wheel is not an antenna, it is an initiator. The antenna for the system(that receives signals from the sensors) is internal to the module, the initiator is used for exciting the respective sensor at that corner, and forcing it to send its signal. This is primarily used for locating and learning the sensors, be it following a tire rotation, or replacing sensors.

2013 LR4. Upon startup TPMS system malfunction message, flashing tire symbol x 1 minute, then solid triangle and tire symbol. Put on new tires and 4 new LR066379 315 mhz wheel sensors. Spare is temporary (not monitored?). TPMS warning and lights remain on. This 2013 VIN is not covered by recall P050. What next? Dealer can diagnose but hesitate to throw hundredsof $ to unknown problem on TPMS. $140 for diagnosis, and then who knows what to fix--and then will it stay fixed. Does TPMS module need replacement? 100$ part. Is LR044371the correct part number? Can owner replace? Where is it and how to access? Is it above headliner front center or driver side rear C pillar? Has anyone done this, and can you share the procedure or provide photos/diagrams? Once installed, must a dealer then activate or program? Any guidance greatly appreciated. Jack

I know this is an old Post but I also have a 2013 LR4 with the same tire sensor fault. Did you ever find out how to correct it? Thanks!
