Well this is why I am here. I found from a previous thread that I can get a legit key fob on line for my LR2, and take it to a dealer to program, thanks for that great info..my new issue is that the non-Working fob I had, (I was just using the key until I could find a dealer to program,) was in my stolen purse this week, so I literally have no way to start my car as I have no spare... my question is, can I have the dealership program a new fob, without the car there or do I have to tow the car there? Clearly, I am not experienced ..Thank you for any and all advice..

Sadly they have to have the vehicle to program it. I would call a local car dealership and ask if they know of a mobile security key person. I know here in Cincinnati we have a person in a Van that can come to you and program the key cheaper than the dealer will charge.
