My son left his LR4 in my driveway for a couple of months while he is traveling. I agreed to drive it every week to keep battery from going flat and just keep it up. Anyhow, night before last I guess it was feeling neglected so at 1am it decided to sound its alarm with horn/lights flashing. after it sufficiently woke the wife and I up and probably a neighbor or two, it silenced itself. So yesterday afternoon, it started again. i diagnosed it to the hood switch [typical LR issue] and removed the pigtail and jumped the terminals until the new part can arrive. Just thought it was humourous kind of like a smoke detector with a dying battery how it always does it like in the middle of the night. I called my son and told him his rover is kind of like a german shepherd; ignore it and it will let you know.
