OMG..LR4 glove box replacement

Just wanted to share this pig of a job with you all. Son told me his glovebox [upper portion] had broken. Sure enough one of the plastic hinges had sheared off so the box hung open sideways. I purchased a complete glove box assy from a breaker. Now for the fun. I think JLR built the car around the box. I finally beat it after about 3 hours and some cuts and bruises. This was one of the most ridiculously overengineered assembiles i have ever seen.

It's a pain in the bootie trying to pull out the insert just to get to everything else. I thought I was going to break mine when I tried putting in my ham radio. Glad you got through it. It's definitely a badge of honor.
